Then, But, Because... in Spanish 🧠

A simple lesson on connectors + audio to practice + a quiz.

Hola šŸ‘‹šŸ»

Gracias por estar aquĆ.

Bienvenido/a a Master Spanish Weekly.

A weekly email with quick learning content to help you make Spanish part of your day.

Last week in class

Last week in class, I asked some of you what you do in Spanish outside of class. The ones who make the most progress are the ones who connect Spanish to things they already enjoy.

Some of you love the food. Some love the music. Others enjoy history, travel, or meeting people from different countries.

That’s not random; that’s how your brain stays interested.

Research shows that when learning is tied to curiosity and interest, your brain pays more attention and retains information better, which is one reason Spanish sticks when you connect it to things you love (music, food, travel, etc.).

Now, let’s go to today’s lesson:

Connectors in Spanish (the simple way)

If your Spanish feels like this:

Yo trabajo. Yo estudio. Yo estoy cansado.

No connectors

You’re not doing anything wrong. It’s just missing a few connectors.

Connectors are the words that make Spanish sound like real speech:

then, but, because, so, although, however, also…

Once you start using them, your sentences instantly feel smoother.

The 7 connectors you need first
