Why do most learners plateau?
Most people study Spanish the same way every day: open an app, do a few exercises, and close the app. It feels productive. But after a while, progress slows down.
The issue isn't effort. It's variety.
Real fluency comes from consistently practicing your Spanish from multiple angles.
After working with hundreds of students, I've found that the ones who break through all share one thing: a simple, repeatable routine built on four habits.
The Spanish 4: Your Weekly Spanish Routine
Each habit builds a different part of your Spanish. Together, they create real, confident fluency.
📖 1. Grammar Practice
Short, focused grammar study. Not endless exercises. Pick one concept per week and apply it in different contexts. Ten intentional minutes is better than an hour of passive reading.
⏱ 10–15 min, 3× per week
🗣️2. Intentional Conversations
Don't just say to your Spanish-speaking friend, "Let’s talk in Spanish.” Go in with a specific question. Ask something you genuinely want to know. Real curiosity makes the conversation stick.
⏱ 1 real conversation per week
🎓 3. Attend Class
Structure keeps you honest. A class gives you feedback, accountability, and the kind of correction you won't get from an app. It's the most important part of your Spanish learning routine.
⏱ 2-4 sessions per week
🎧 4. Consume Spanish Content
Podcasts, shows, music, YouTube. Whatever you actually enjoy. Passive exposure trains your ear and builds intuition for how the language flows naturally.
⏱ 20+ min daily
This week's intentional conversation questions
Pick one or more and ask a Spanish-speaking friend, coworker, or classmate.
🕐 Past

¿Adónde fuiste el fin de semana pasado?
